Subdomains & URLs

How venue subdomains work, what's reserved, and how to change yours.

How your URL works

Every Tabern venue lives at yourvenue.tabern.app — a free subdomain created with your venue. All your public pages hang off it:

  • yourvenue.tabern.app — home, menu, about
  • yourvenue.tabern.app/contact — locations, hours, map, contact
  • yourvenue.tabern.app/booking — booking page
  • yourvenue.tabern.app/rewards — guest rewards page (if you have a program)

Subdomain rules

  • 3 to 63 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  • Must be available — Tabern checks as you type.
  • Platform names are reserved and can't be used: www, api, admin, dashboard, docs, dev, staging, and similar.

Changing your subdomain

  1. Open the Settings page from the dashboard sidebar.

  2. Scroll to Subdomain Settings.

  3. Enter the new subdomain — availability is checked as you type.

  4. Save, then publish.

Custom domains

Tabern today publishes to your *.tabern.app subdomain; there's no custom-domain option in the dashboard. If a custom domain is important for your brand, let us know via Community — demand shapes the roadmap.
