Preview before publishing
My Website has a live preview next to the editing form. Switch between Desktop and Mobile to check both layouts, and drag the handle to resize the preview. Nothing in the preview is public. It shows your current draft, not the published site.
Publish
Open My Website from the dashboard sidebar.
Review the preview one last time.
Click Publish in the header. Any unsaved edits on the page are saved first.
Wait for the “Published” message. Your site is now live.
Publishing takes a snapshot of your whole site (pages, menus, deals, hours and locations, and integrations) and puts that snapshot live. Guests always see the last published snapshot, never your in-progress edits, so a half-finished change can't break your live site.
You can publish on the free website that comes with a Tabern device or on the paid plan. A website with neither (for example, one whose subscription has ended and that isn't your free device website) can't publish until you subscribe again. See Billing.
Your subdomain
Every Tabern website gets a free subdomain address, the one you chose when you created it. To change it, open Settings → Website Settings → Subdomain Settings. A subdomain change takes effect as soon as you save, even before you publish, and old links, bookmarks, and QR codes that use the old address stop working. More in Subdomains & URLs.
On the paid plan you can also serve your site on a domain you own, such as your restaurant's existing web address. See Custom domain.
After publishing
- Share your link. See Sharing & SEO for the share-link card and metadata.
- Watch traffic. The Overview page tracks page views and card taps.
- Keep going. Edits save as drafts; publish again whenever you're ready.
- Need to go offline? Unpublish on My Website takes the site down. Visitors see a “not found” page until you publish again.
