This page is written for your guests. Point members here, or copy the steps into your own signage. Everything happens on your venue's rewards page — no Tabern account, no app download.
Join the program
Open the Rewards page on the venue site.
Enter your email address and tap the arrow. No password needed.
Check your inbox for a 6-digit code. It's valid for 10 minutes.
Type the code on the rewards page. It checks the code as soon as the sixth digit is in.
You're in. Your member card appears with your QR code.
If the rewards page shows Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, you can tap it instead and skip the code entirely — you're signed in as soon as you pick your account.
Your email is your identity — Google, Apple and the emailed code reach the same card, so use whichever is handier. If you choose Hide My Email with Apple, the venue only sees a private relay address, which counts as a separate card from your real email.
You stay signed in on that phone. If your session ends, the rewards page remembers your email (unless you tapped Sign out), so one tap sends a fresh code. The code is in the email's subject line, so you can usually read it straight from your phone's notification. For Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton, and AOL addresses, the code screen also has a button that opens your inbox.
Earn punches
- When you visit, open your member card — in the browser, Apple Wallet, or Google Wallet.
- Show your QR code to staff at the counter.
- Staff scan it on the venue's scanner screen and confirm your visit.
- Your card updates within a few seconds, showing your progress and any newly earned reward.
Redeem rewards
Rewards you've earned are claimed automatically at your next confirmed visit. Staff see which reward was claimed, and if your card is open it shows Reward claimed. Remind your server so they apply it to your order. A reward you earn today is ready from your next visit, not this one.
Add to your wallet
Tap Add to Apple Wallet under your member card, or Add to Google Wallet when it's offered. Your pass, with your QR code and progress, then lives in your wallet and updates by itself, even when the program changes.
Take a break or leave
- Sign out: end this session. Sign back in with your email anytime.
- Unsubscribe: tap it, then Yes, unsubscribe. You stop participating but keep your progress. If you come back later, sign in again and your punches are still there.
Only the venue can permanently delete a member record. Unsubscribing never erases your progress.
Site settings
Tap Settings (the gear, top left) on any page of the venue site to adjust it:
- Language: appears when the venue offers more than one.
- Large text: bigger type across the site.
- Dark mode: a dark color scheme.
Your choices are remembered on that device.
For owners
- Members appear in your Members list automatically.
- Check-ins happen on your scanner kiosk.
- Style the member card in Rewards programs and the pass in Wallet passes.
- Rewards, members, and the scanner are part of the paid plan.
