Connect your Google Business Profile and Tabern can read your listing: compare your name, address, phone, and hours with what Tabern has, and copy your Google reviews so they show on your site. The connection is read-only. Tabern never changes your Google listing.
Connect your profile
Open Integrations under Settings in the dashboard sidebar.
In Select Integration App, choose Google Business Profile and click Continue to details.
Click Sign in with Google and approve access with the Google account that manages your listing.
Google sends you back to Integrations. If that account manages a single location, it connects on its own and a Google Business Profile card appears.
Pick a location
If your Google account manages more than one location, the card shows Select location and the Google Business Profile settings window opens. Click Load locations if the list isn’t showing, then Select next to the location that matches this venue. You can reopen the window any time with the gear icon on the card.
Compare your business info
Open the settings window from the gear icon and click Compare with Google. A table lines up Tabern and Google side by side for Name, Address, Phone, Category, and Hours.
- Nothing changes in either place. Fix differences yourself, in Hours & Location or on Google.
- Tabern’s address and phone come from your first location.
- For hours, the Tabern column shows how many open days you’ve set, not the full schedule.
- Category is shown for Google only; Tabern doesn’t track one.
Sync your reviews
In the same window, click Sync reviews now. Tabern copies your latest Google reviews and tells you how many were added and updated. There’s no automatic sync, so run it whenever you want fresh reviews on your site.
Show reviews on your site
On the Google Business Profile card, turn on Show reviews on your website.
Publish your site so the Reviews section appears on your home page.
Guests see a Reviews section with a swipeable row of review cards and star ratings. Each review has its own page: tapping a card opens it, with the full text and any reply you posted on Google, and View all reviews lists every one. A Leave a review button sends guests to Google. Before you have any reviews, the section can still show with an invitation to leave one.
- Once the section is published, later review syncs show up on your site without publishing again.
- Turning the toggle off hides the section and the review pages right away.
- Review pages are easy to share, but they’re kept out of search results: the reviews already appear on your Google listing.
Disconnect
On the card, click the trash icon, then Remove? to confirm. Tabern gives up its access to your Google account, deletes the reviews it copied, and turns off Show reviews on your website, so the Reviews section and review pages leave your site. Your Google listing isn’t affected, and you can reconnect any time.
What it doesn’t do
- No review replies: reply on Google. Replies you’ve already posted there show on your site as-is.
- No Google posts: Tabern doesn’t show or publish Google Business Profile posts.
- No automatic sync: reviews and business info refresh only when you click the buttons above.
- No listing edits: Tabern never writes to your Google listing, and comparing never changes your Tabern details.
