Photos upload right where you use them, with no separate library to manage. Every place that takes an image has its own upload button.
Where uploads live
- My Website: Background Images and Logo Asset under Home, Story Gallery under About.
- Settings → Website Settings: Share Link Image and Favicon.
- Menu Manager: a photo on each menu item.
- Deals & Promos: an image on each deal.
- Customers → Rewards (paid plan): Card logo and Card background for your rewards card, and Pass logo for the wallet pass.
Files that work
- PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 10 MB each. Other formats, including SVG, aren't accepted.
- Tabern stores photos as you upload them, so a huge camera file stays huge. Export at around the recommended size first.
- Recommended sizes shown in the dashboard: Background Images 1440 × 800, Share Link Image 1200 × 630, rewards Card background 1200 × 630, and 3–8 photos for the Story Gallery.
Upload a photo
Open the page where the photo belongs, such as a menu item in Menu Manager or the Home section in My Website.
Click its upload button (Choose image, Choose images, Choose logo, Upload item image, and so on) and pick a file.
Wait for the preview to appear. Galleries let you pick several files at once.
Save your change, then publish to put the photo on your live site.
If no preview appears after you pick a file, it was most likely over 10 MB or not a PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Export it again and retry.
Replace or remove a photo
- Single-photo spots (logo, favicon, share image, item photo, deal image): pick a new file to swap it in, or click the remove (×) button to clear it.
- Galleries (Background Images, Story Gallery, Card background): click Add images to add more, or the remove (×) button on a photo to take it out. Photos show in the order you added them.
- Save, then publish so guests see the change.
Tips
- Shoot in good light. Background and food photos are the first thing guests judge.
- Landscape photos work best for backgrounds and share images. Square crops work best for menu items.
- For your logo and favicon, use a square PNG. A transparent background works best.
