Tabern doesn't replace your booking system; it connects to it. Your public booking page sends guests to the platform you already use: OpenTable, Resy, Tock, SevenRooms, Toast, Square Appointments, or any custom booking URL. OpenTable and Resy links can embed their widget directly so guests never leave your site.
Connect a platform
Open the Integrations page from the dashboard sidebar.
Find the booking platform section and pick your provider.
Paste your booking link — Tabern auto-detects the platform from the URL.
Save, then publish to put the booking page live.
What guests see, by provider:
- OpenTable / Resy — an embedded booking widget when the link supports it, so guests book without leaving your site.
- Tock, SevenRooms, Toast, Square Appointments — guests land on your provider's booking page via a button.
- Custom URL — any other booking link works as a plain button.
If a link can't be embedded as a widget, the booking page shows it as a button instead. Guests still get where they're going. Multi-location venues can scope a booking link per location.
Booking page intro
In the website editor's Reservations section, write a short intro for the booking page: anything guests should know before booking, like party-size limits or call-ahead policy. See Pages & sections.
The "needs update" state
If a connected link stops being embeddable — for example, the platform changed its URL format — the booking page flags it as needing an update. Paste a fresh link in Integrations and publish to clear the flag.
Tips
- Booking changes are drafts. Publish to push them live.
- Test the booking page yourself after connecting. Click through to your platform once before guests do.
